Norton Boys have BIG day at TVL Championships; 3 NEW SCHOOL RECORDS ESTABLISHED!



  • The Norton boys track team had some fantastic performances at the Tri-Valley League Championships this past Wednesday (5/20). Below are some of the standouts:

  • Gil O’Neil broke a 20 year old TVL meet record & new Norton high school record in the 800 with the 3rd fastest time in Massachusetts this year with a time of 1:57.53.

  • Emerson Almeida won the 400 with a new school record and the fifth fastest time in Massachusetts of 50.37. Emerson went UNDEFEATED the ENTIRE SEASON in the 400!!

  • The boys 4x400 team of Cam Parker, Tim Johansmeyer, Gil O’Neil, & Emerson Almeida shattered the school record by 9 seconds and posted the 4th fastest time in Massachusetts with a 3:26.8.
  • Tim Johansmeyer placed 3rd in thew Triple Jump and 5th in the long jump for the Lancers. Tim was also a part of the 4x400 winning relay! Tim is the only athlete from Norton to score in 3 different events at the championships.

  • Kam Campbell placed 4th in the 400 Hurdles and 5th in the high jump. His hurdle time is the 4th fastest in Division 4 in the state.

  • Eric Dzengeleski (primetime & clutch) placed 4th in the shotput and 6th in the discus after coming into the meet unranked!
  • Brian Desmond tied for 3rd in the High Jump with a Jump of 5'8"! Congrats B-Dez!

  • Chris Jordan placed 4th in the Javelin and made states with a mammouth throw of 148'11"! Congrats to you CJ!

  • Finally, as a FRESHMAN, Kevin Rogers placed 6th in the mile with a smoking fast 4:52.75, on of the fastest freshman times in the state. Congrats to you Kevin.

  • The Lancers go to the South Shore Principals Meet this Saturday (5/23) @ 9:30 at Norwell High School for the last meet before the Division 4 State Championships.
