

The Lady Lancers face the fierce Radiers of Dover Sherborn this afternoon in quite the nail biter. The evenly matched teams went point for point through much of the meet and the final came down to one event, the triple jump. Erin Kennedy and Emma Ethier prepared to jump as the news arrived that they must place second to clinch the victory. The two had no problem taking on the challenge, finishing first and second taking the first victory of the season for the girls.
There were several standout perfoances a today's meet. The Lancers took 10 out of the possible 16 first place finishes and had 13 girls score points for the team. Junior Bekah Sargent took first in the 200m and high jump along with second in the 400m. Erin Kennedy took first in th 100m, the triple jump and second in the high jump. Freshman Kassidy Campbell was a first place finisher in the long jump, 400m hurdles and second in the 100m hurdles. Emma Ethier placed first in the 100m hurdles and second in the 400m hurdles and triple jump. Other point scorers included Lindield, Arcaro, Byrnes, Lang, Pelletier, Allard, Pereira, Feeney and Dufault. Overall it was a big day for the girls and certainly the first of many wins to come this season! We are home Thursday against Holliston. at 3:30!
