Lady Lancers Improve Their Record to 4-2 on Senior Night

Norton- The Lady Lancers beat the Mustangs of Medway today 93.5-42.5. The day began with recognizing both the lancer seniors as well as the medway seniors because this was the last home meet for Norton. This year there are 6 seniors on the girls side; Allison Alioto, Brittany Alioto, Bri Arcaro, Katie Donofrio, Emma Ethier and Rebekah Sargent. These young women are all captains for the lady lancer team because they are true leaders that put the best interest of the team before their own. Each of these seniors have given not only their time to the program, but their heart. We truly will miss them next year, but will continue to enjoy their presence, as their are 3 more regular season meets.

As for today's meet the lady lancers were able to perform at their best. Shannon O'Rourke threw 100'6" in the Discus to take first place against the fierce Mustang competition. Anya Dilorenzo also had a personal record and season best in the 800m, running 2:32.8 and placing first. There were the usual stellar performances by the high jump trio of Sargent, Kennedy and Whitman, as well as the hurdle trio of Campbell, Ethier and Bieksha who swept both the 100m Hurdles and the 400m Hurdles. Ethier, Sicard, and Kennedy also took triple jump; cementing the victory.
