Norton Loses Yet Another Close One to Dover-Sherborn...

Score: 71-65 (came down to the relay)

I guess we can't say these meets are interesting to watch...although it stresses me out! That said, the Norton girls had over 15 personal records on the day, which is fantastic and added 2 more state qualifiers to the list and 3 more events!

Congratulations to Kelly Allen on her school record!!

Notables on the day:

~Kelly Allen set a school record (breaking her previous record from last year) in the discus with a throw of 113'4" for a TVL best throw this year. She also won the shotput with a throw of 32'6".

~Freshman Courtney Williams placed 1st in the 100 (13.4) and Long Jump (15' 2.75") and made STATES with that jump.

~Molly Anderson PR'd in both the Triple Jump (which she won (31' 8.5")) and qualified for STATES in and placed 3rd in the Long Jump (1'10")

~Laura Johansmeyer placed 1st in the 100 Hurdles (18.1), 2nd in the 300 Hurdles (53.5), and 3rd in the Triple Jump (30'2") which is also a PR.

~Sarah Doolan won the Javelin with a throw of 92'11 (which is also a PR on the season).

~The girls 4x400 qualified for STATES with a run of 4:33.0. Team members included Caroline Allen, Jill Wry, Brianna Valerie, and Kate Baird.
