The Norton boys 4x400 team of Tim Johansmeyer, Keegan Campbell, Jon Sicard and Kevin Rogers placed 1st overall out of 27 teams at the Division 4 State Relays. They posted a smokin fast time of 3:36.99 and missed the school record set last year by .18 of a second! The boys Long Jump relay placed 6th overall and placed. Both the relay teams will move on the the McIntyre Elite Relays on February 7th.
On the girls side, the 4x200 team and the Shuttle Dash relay teams placed 4th/40 and 5th/30 respectively. Both teams consisted of Courtney Williams, Jill Wry, Caroline Allen, and Kim Schubert. The 4x200 new school record (beat the old one by 3.60 seconds) was a 1:51.94. THe new school record in the shuttle dash relay is 26.22 (beat the old one by .08 seconds). Both of these teams will also move on the the McIntyre Elite Relays on February 7th.
The girls also had a shotput relay of Emily Hastings, Amanda Schleicher, and Kate Ledbetter who placed 15th out of 31 teams.
Norton's next meet wil be Monday January, 25th at 3:00 @ Hopkinton vesus ASHLAND.
