Time Runs Out On The Ashland Clockers; Norton wins 107-29. Bechara makes STATES in 110 Hurdles, Donovan Leads the Way in Points!

Norton’s Mike Costa competes in the javelin against Ashland.
Norton’s Mike McCluskey crosses the finish line to place second in the 100 dash.
The Norton boys track team defeated Ashland yesterday 107-29. Despite the rain, there were some gutsy performances. Ramzi Bechara made states in the 110 Hurdles with a time of 17.2.
Ben Donovan won the 110 Hurdles, 400 Hurdles, and placed second in the triple jump. Matt Anderson won both the discus and the javelin, with a mammoth throw of 138'7". Tim Johansmeyer continued his winning ways winning all three of his events including the Triple Jump, the Long Jump, and the 4x400. Kevin Rogers and Jon Sicard also had great days gaining 9.25 points each. The highlight of the meet for me as a coach was seeing freshman Cam Eisnor place first in the 2 Mile for the first time in his fledgling high school career.
