April 2, 2012- NORTON. The lady lancers opened at home against the warriors of Westwood. Not only was this the opening meet for the lancers, but also the first meet at the new track facility. Norton held Westwood to a score of 83-53, the best the lady lancers have done against the warriors in several years. Some of the stand outs at today's meet were Paige Almeida who placed first in the 400M and 200M; another star today was, junior captain, Bekah Sargent who came in first in the 100M, 2nd in the 200M and tied for first in the high jump, jumping an amazing 4 ft and 10 inches. Newcomer, Kassidy Campbell excelled in all of her events! Campbell placed 2nd in the high hurdles, 2nd in the long jump and third in the 400 hurdles. The 4X100M relay team, comprised of Jill Allard, Erin Feeney, Alison Dufualt and Amy Pereira, shined coming in first with a time of 55.4 seconds.Erin Kennedy scored the team points getting 1st in the tripple jump and 2nd in the 100M! Other standouts included captain Bri Arcaro, Sam Lang and Ashley Pelletier, who all were winners in field events. Our next meet in on Thursday at home v.s. Hopkington. We hope to see you there!
