4 School Records (Ireland, Tierney, Sullivan & Marcotte) Lead Lancers to Double Wins over Ashland and Dover-Sherborn and Keep Boys Undefeated at 5-0!

A HUGE congratulations to the 4 school record breakers today in the double-duel meet versus Ashland and Dover-Sherborn.

Justin Ireland (55 Dash) broke Brian Gannon's 55 Meter Dash record (11-12) of 6.81 with a 6.70!
Mike Tierney (600 Meters) broke Danny Lenihan's 600 Meter record (11-12) of 1:26.0 with a 1:25.6!
Billy Sullivan (Mile) and Max Marcotte (Mile) broke Kevin Rogers 1 Mile record (10-11) with a 4:38.9 and a 4:39.7 respectively.

Norton beat the Dover-Sherborn Raiders 64-22.  This is the first year for the Raiders indoor team.  The Norton boys also beat Ashland 70-16.  The Norton boys move to 5-0 on the season and stay undefeated!

Leading the way for the Lancers was Mike Tierney, who scored a whopping 22.50 varsity points!  He won both high jumps, both 600 meter races in which he broke the school record, and was the anchor leg of the winning 4x400 meter relay team. 

Close behind him with 20 varsity points was sophomore Justin Ireland, who won both 55 meter dash races (and broke the school record), and won both the 300 meter races.

Next in line was Kevin O'Leary, who was able to grab 16 varsity points today with his 1st in the shotput, 2nd in the shotput, two seconds in the 300 meters, and two 3rds in the 55 dash.

Brandon Durocher was able to bring in 14.50 varsity points for the Lancers with his two 2nds in the 55 hurdles, two 2nds in the high jump, and was a member of both winning relay teams.

Chris Wrenn had 12.50 varsity points with his two 1000 meter race victories and his two winning 4x400 relays.

Cam Stalters won both hurdles while Billy Sullivan (school record breaker today) won both miles and both brought in 10 points each. 

Joey Annand was a winner in the 2 mile and a 2nd in the 2 mile bringing in 8 varsity points and getting a varsity letter with his efforts.

Norton will next compete after their winter break against the Holliston Panthers at Wheaton College on Saturday, January 4th at 3:30 pm.
