ALL-STATES: Williams and Ceesay Sprint to Victory & are the Fastest in the Commonwealth; Boys Team are Runner-Up Team!

Norton's ALL-STATE CHAMPION Brooke-Lynn Williams not only set the school record and the meet record with her 55 dash time of 6.91, she solidified herself as the fastest girl EVER in the state of Massachusetts posting the fastest 55 Dash time from any high schooler in the history of high school track and field in the state of Massachusetts!! She broke the meet record previously held by Monique Tubbs (Boston Latin) in 1999.  She is now ranked #1 in Massachusetts and #3 in the USA!

Norton's ALL-STATE CHAMPION Abu Ceesay followed suit winning not only the 55 Dash outright, but posting the 2nd fastest time ever run in Massachusetts with a 6.40! He is ranked #1 in Massachusetts and #17 in the USA!

The Norton boys team also made history with a finalist runner-up finish!  The 2015-2016 Norton High Indoor Track team is the first division 4 school in history (since the inception of the MIAA All-State meet in 1986) to place in the top 2 teams at the All-State Meet! The Norton boys scored 29.50 points behind first place Concord-Carlisle who scored 35 points.

The Norton boys 4x200 team of Justin Ireland, Camden Cleathero, Andrew Raneri, & Abu Ceesay showed why they are the best sprint relay team in the commonwealth by becoming ALL-STATE CHAMPIONS with a time of 1:31.05.

15th Overall - 4x800 (Katie Bradley/Kambrynn Bowman/Michelle Belcher/Julia Palin): 10:00.31
17th Overall - 4x400 (Nick Reynolds/Sean Cappellini/Parker Cleathero/Chris Wrenn): 3:32.98

The Norton track team heads to the NEW ENGLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS this Sunday afternoon (February 28th at the Reggie Lewis Center) with high jumper Camden Cleathero and sprinters Brooke-Lynn Williams, Abu Ceesay, and the 4x200 team of Justin Ireland, Camden Cleathero, Andrew Raneri, & Brooke-Lynn Williams!
