Norton Girls Beat Westwood in a Barnburner that Comes Down to the Relay 70-66; Bose Lose Second Straight.

In a good meet on a otherwise dreary day, the Norton girls win 70-66 in a nailbiter that came down to the relay! The girls edged out the Wolverines in what proved to be a very fun and competitive meet. The girls hurdles swept, while Brooke-Lynn Williams continued her winning ways taking both the 100 & 200 while Bella Berardi scored the most points on the team with 13 winning the 400, long jump, & second in the 200! The girls 4 x 400 relay team of Kambryn Bowman, Hannah Kubinki, Abbey O'Brien and Julia Palin  won that last event for the team.  Hannah Delea in 100 hurdles (17.2), Kambrynn Bowman in the 800 (2:26), Mary Diestel high jump (5') and Meg Nichols shot put (30'6") all won their respective events.

The boys lost to a very tough  Westwood team 97-39.  Ian Pereira sprinted to victory in the 100 & 200 sprints (11.5, 23.7) for the second week in a row amassing the most points for the team. Joey Annand took first in the 800 (2:06.1) and second in triple jump. Griff McAlear won the 400 hurdles (60.2) and took second in the high jump. The 4 x 100 relay team of Wyatt Simmons, Connor Reynolds, Chris Junkins and Peter Rivard placed first in 47.5.
