Wisnaskas Leads Lancers With Perfect Day as He Breaks ANOTHER School Record in the 400 Hurdles and the Boys Win 74-62!

Paul in route to breaking another school record...this time in the 400 hurdles!

Alumni & school record holder Mike Tierney embraces Paul Wisnaskas who broke his record set in 2015.

In our first home meet of the season, we split against two VERY tough Dedham teams. The boys won 74-62 while the girls lost 55-81.
For the second straight week, Paul Wisnaskas broke a school record, only this time in the 400 hurdles (previously held by current UMASS DARTMOUTH track athlete and D4 State Champion Mike Tierney of 56.92 from 2015) with an incredible 56.5 on a cold day and the fastest time in Massachusetts this year!  He had the perfect track day scoring 15 points winning the 400 Hurdles, Triple Jump, and High Jump (in a clutch JUMP OFF!).
Senior Captain Corey Stalters scored 13 points for the boys winning the 110 Hurdles in the 2nd fastest time in the league this year of 15.3, a gigantic toss in the javelin of 177' 4" for the furthest throw in Massachusetts this year so far, and 2nd in the long jump!
Other first places on the day included Matt Pepin in the shotput, Kevin Mahoney in the 1 Mile, DJ Nihill in the 800, and Ethan Tetrault in the 2 Mile!
Winners on the girls side included double winner Kirsten Loring in the 100 & 200, Julia Newell in the long jump, Shelly Belcher in the 1 Mile, Kylie Dion in the 400, Meg Cross in the 800, and both Norton Relays!
