Norton Girls Lose To Westwood 75-61

Westwood- On a beautiful day in Westwood the Lady Lancers met their match. The meet began neck and neck and remained that way through the first eight events. Norton held strong in the hurdling events and the field, but it was Westwood's strong mid and long distance runners that helped Westwood claim victory.

 Some all stars from the meet included Kassidy Campbell who took first in the long jump, 100mH and 400mH. Rebekah Sargent took second in the 400m, third in the high jump and second in the 200m. Emma Ethier took third in the 400mH, second in the 100mH and third in the triple jump. Amy Pereira took first in the 100m, 2nd in the shop put and was part of the winning 4x100m relay team. Ashley Pelletier came in first in the javelin, and third in the discus. Shannon O'Rourke came in third in the shot and first in the discus. Erin Kennedy took first in the triple jump and third in the 200m. Marisa Amato placed second in javelin. The 4x100 team of Pereira, Browne, Douglas and Dufault also finished first.
