Your NORTON TVL CHAMPIONS! (Left to right: Julia Palin, Ian Pereira, Aiden Lerner, Peter Rivard, Austin Carroll, Paul Wisnaskas, Bella Pietrasiewicz, & Megan Nichols)
What an incredible day by the Lancers squads! The girls placed 2nd overall, while the boys placed 5th as a team.  Individually, the Lancers are peaking at the right time as they attained THIRTY personal records on the day!!

Norton was able to secure 6 TVL CHAMPIONSHIP events!  Two of those events came from senior captain JULIA PALIN who won BOTH the 1 Mile and 2 Mile events! She not only won both events, but was able to come back in the two mile with a NEW SCHOOL RECORD by 12 seconds (previously set by her earlier this season) with a 11:07.83, which is the second fastest time in Massachusetts this year!! She won the mile in 5:10.82. In the two mile, her negative split race was incredible to witness as she battled it out with two other incredible TVL distance runners (Ashley Walker of Westwood and Schuyler Gooley of Hopkinton) where she ran a 5:44 then came back in a 5:22 for the victory! Both of her last laps in the mile and 2 mile she split a 69!

Next was TVL CHAMPION MEG NICHOLS, who came in ranked second, was able to step up big for the win! Meg-Nick threw a mammouth toss of 32' 4" after throwing a big PR in the discus of 94' 9" securing another 4 points for a 4th place finish there.

FRESHMAN PHENOM BELLA PIETRASIEWICZ ran the race of a seasoned veteran in the 800 to become a TVL CHAMPION!! She was very patient as she slipped into third for the first lap and came on strong with a big surge at the 600 meter mark that never slowed as she past both competitors in front of her as she sprinted the last straightaway to victory with a new PR by FOUR SECONDS of 2:20.22 to secure the second fastest time in the TVL this year (second only to her teammate and mentor Senior Captain Julia Palin)!

The freshman game was strong as Bella's teammate PAUL WISNASKAS (the ICEMAN SUPREME) secured his UNDEFEATED TVL SEASON as he became the TVL CHAMPION in the 400 Hurdles with a new season PR of 58.08, the fastest time of any freshman in the state of Massachusetts this year! Paul also placed 2nd in the 110 hurdles (15.78) and 4th in the high jump (5'10") scoring an incredible 22 points for the boys team!

And the final TVL CHAMPIONS were the 4x400 boys team who upset the league!  They were ranked 6th coming into the meet and raced their way to TVL CHAMPIONS! Team members included SENIOR CAPTAINS AIDEN LERNER & IAN PEREIRA, AUSTIN CARROLL, & PETER RIVARD! Anchor Ian Pereira split a 52.8 and passed two teams to grab the win and post a massive season PR of 3:39.19! Ian also grabbed 8 points for a gutsy second place finish in the open 400 earlier posting a 51.42!
