April 12, 2012: NORTON- The Lady Lancers suffer a heartbreaking loss against the Panthers of Holliston, in a blow for blow meet. The evenly matched teams were met by cold and rainy weather on this April afternoon, both hopeful of brining home a victory but unfortunately for Norton, at the close of the meet, their fate was sealed. The final score of the meet was 73-63. The Lancers look forward to turning their season around, with meets against Bellingham, Ashland, Millis, Medway and Medfield coming their way in the second half of the season.

Today's standouts included Emma Ethier who is inching closer to breaking the school 100M hurdle record against Holliston. Ethier also placed second in the 400M hurdles and third in the triple jump. Kassidy Campbell had another outstanding meet placing third in the 400M hurdles, second in the 100M hurdles and first in the long jump. Freshman, Marisa Amato earned her first varsity points today, placing first in the javelin. Our 4x100M relay team remained undefeated, zooming past Holliston, finishing in 56.2 seconds.
