Norton boys 4x800 Lead the Way for Lancers Boys at State Championships; Marcotte Breaks School Record!

Congrats to the Norton boy Lancers who placed 17th overall as a team with 10.5 points out of 36 teams who placed out of a division with 59 teams in it.  Leading the way for the Lancers was the 4x800 team of Max Marcotte, Billy Sullivan, Mike Tierney & Chris Wrenn who ran a 8:33.30 good enough for 5th place overall and 4 points.

Senior Captain Billy Sullivan placed 6th overall in a STACKED mile race with a 4:33.83 scoring 3 points for the Lancers.

Senior Captain Max Marcotte placed 7th overall in the 1000 meters with a new SCHOOL RECORD of 2:39.08 scoring 2 points for the Lancers.

Senior Captain Brandon Durocher placed 7th overall in the high jump with his PR jump of 5'10" scoring 1.5 points!

Other Placements at the Division 4 State Championships included: 
9th Place Overall: Cam Stalters - 55 Hurdles - 8.33
10th Place Overall: Justin Ireland - 300 Meters - 38.16 
17th Place Overall: Parker Cleathero - 600 Meters - 1:30.95 
18th Place Overall: Brandon Durocher - 55 Hurdles - 8.54
19th Place Overall: Justin Ireland - 55 Dash - 6.97
20th Place Overall: Adam Winiarz - 300 Meters - 38.77
22nd Place Overall: Justin Ireland, Adam Winiarz, Brandon Durocher, & Kevin O'Leary - 4x200 - 1:40.44 
26th Place Overall: Kevin O'Leary - Long Jump - 17'9"

Congrats to all those athletes who made it to states and on a fantastic and historic season!
