Bellingham Blackhawks Ruin Lancers Perfect Season 68.5-67.5.

The Bellingham Blackhawks came into Norton on Monday on a mission.  They came stacked with seniors ready for battle and in the end, when the smoked cleared, they were one point better than the Lancer boys.  Bellingham seniors Kudirka, Schmith, Rodrigues, Robbie, and Stone scored 40 points out of the 68.5 needed for the win.

The times, throws, and jumps that came out of the meet were incredible, some the best in the state.  Durocher and Tierney both ran the 400 hurdles with personal best times on the season.

Chris Wrenn qualified for states in the 400 meters and secured a second place overall time in the TVL with a lightning fast time of 52.6.

Cam Stalters and Brandon Durocher went 1-2 in the hurdles, per usual.  Max Marcotte ran a season best 2:03.0 in the 800 meters.

Kevin O'Leary not only threw for a season best in the shotput at 42'1", he also got a SCHOOL RECORD and #1 THROW IN MASSACHUSETTS this year in the javelin with a toss of 173'5"!

Senior Captain Zach Sicard had two personal bests on the season in his jumping events: 41'4.75" in the triple and 20'3.75 in the long!

The Norton boys 4x400 team of Troy Parker, Sean Cappellini, Parker Cleathero, & Max Marcotte posted the best time in the TVL this year as well as one one of the best in D4 Massachusetts with a 3:38.8.

Norton next competes against the Millis Mohawks today, Wednesday May 7th.
