Captain Durocher Leaps to New Heights with the Highest Jump from a Norton Athlete in Over a Decade in the High Jump at 6 feet 1 inch! Boys Beat Ashland 114-22!

Congrats to Senior Captain Brandon Durocher on his biggest leap in over a decade from a Norton athlete in the high jump at 6'1"! He also won the 400 hurdles and placed 2nd with a PR in the 110 hurdles.  Durocher led the team with 13 varsity points.

The Norton boys swept 9 events and won both relays out of 16 events today.  The boys look solid in preparation of the post season with the D4 State Relays coming up this weekend and the TVL Championship meet next week.

Paul Schleicher was a double winner today in both the shotput and the discus.  He tossed over 130 feet for the second time this season in the discus.

Kevin O'Leary stayed undefeated in the javelin in the regular season and tried out the high jump for the first time this season and had a leap of 5'8".

Josh Kelleher came back into his own in the triple jump with a season best leap of 41'3.5" jump.

Zach Sicard won the long jump and was a member of the winning 4x100 meter relay. 

Cam Stalters ran the fastest 110 high hurdles of his life and posted a TVL best 15.6 second time!

Mike Tierney (400), Max Marcotte (800), and Justin Ireland (200) all placed first in their respective events.

Also a congrats to Elliot Ariola (110 Hurdles) and Camden Cleathero (200 Meters) for qualifying for states today!

Norton will next compete at the DIVISION 4 STATE RELAYS this Sunday at 9:30 at Seekonk High School.
