The lady lancers finish the regular season with a huge win over Bellingham and a tough loss against Hopkinton. As always the girls worked their hardest in both meets. Kassidy, Brooke-Lynn, Bella, Katie, Ashley, Danielle and Amy continued to dominate in their individual events. They continue to bring points to the team heart to the sport.
Against Bellingham Kathryn Ward, Jillian D'Ercole, Ashlyn Hines, Julia Palin, Ali Whitman, Kayla Sicard, Molly Bieksha, Cece Browne, Meg Nichols, Liz Dufault, Kambrynn Bowman and Kylie Abouzeid all added to the lead, showing how deep the talent runs on this team. It paid off winning 104-28.
Against Hopkinton, the ladies worked as hard as they had all season. Everyone gave it their all, but in the end we fell just short of victory, losing 70-66. The first loss for girls track and field since last spring was hard to take, but the girls left the track with their heads held high. They now have their sights set on the TVL Championship meet.
The girls take on the whole league next Wednesday at Westwood.
