Williams is a 4 Time D4 State Champion in the 100, 3x 200 Meter Champ; Wyatt Simmons Make Norton Track History in the Pole Vault, Palin Breaks 800 School Record!

Norton's Brooke-Lynn Williams  does it again!  BLW came into the Division 4 State Championship with 2 big goals in mind: repeat champion in the 100 and 200 meters.  She did just that and more taking 5th with her teammates in the 4x100!  BLW is undefeated in the last 4 years at the D4 State Championship, an incredible accomplishment. Brooke-Lynn ran a 12.00 in the 100 and a season  best 25.09 in the 200.

Making Norton track history on Sunday was senior Wyatt Simmons, who was able to wow his teammates and coaches as  he performed big on the biggest stage of his track career so far!  Wyatt not only BROKE THE SCHOOL RECORD (which was his own from last year), with a vault  of 10' 0", he is the first athlete ever from Norton to compete and medal in the pole vault!  Congrats to you Wyatt!

Senior captain Bella Berardi had a big jump in the long jump with a leap of 17' 3" to secure a second place spot! Bella also was able to secure a 6th place overall in the 400 meters with a 60.87!

The girls team was able to secure 5th place overall out of 45 teams scoring an  incredible 45 points!  The boys grabbed 32nd place overall scoring 3.5 points.   There are a total of 78 schools in Division 4, so well done to both team, especially the girls top 5 finish!!

The boys 4x800 team was able to place out of the first heat with a 20 second PR on the season  (8:39.94) for 7th place overall with team members DJ Nihill, Austin Carroll, Thomas Bingel, & Aiden Lerner!

  Junior Julia Palin ran an incredible 800 meter race at the Championships and broke her teammates school record (Kambrynn Bowman) from this season breaking the 2:20 barrier with a smoking fast 2:19.02! Julia was able to secure her spot in the 800 at the MIAA ALL-STATE Meet! Her teammate and senior captain Kambrynn Bowman also ran an incredible race in the 800 and qualified for All-States with a 2:21.31 placing 4th overall.
