Williams Defends Her Title as the Best Sprinter in New England!

BLW on the top of the podium again defending her title in the 100!

In her last high school races, Norton's Brooke-Lynn Williams headed to Norwell High School to defend her New England Championship title in the 100 meters. Focused and undaunted, BLW took to the track with the tenacity she always does and ran a perfect prelims.  It was slow enough to keep her legs fresh but fast enough to get a preference lane in the finals.

In the finals, she was graceful and emotional as she crossed the finish line for the win.  The emotion immediately consumed her as she knew she has solidified herself as one of the best sprinters, if not the best, the state of Massachusetts has ever seen. She ran a 11.94, only 5 one-hundredths off of HER all time Mass best of 11.89.

The Hardware
BLW later ran the 200 meters and placed 3rd overall to take home more hardware with a 25.02! It was a historic run for Brooke-Lynn and she will forever be missed by the Norton community and we thank her for all the wonderful memories and wish her the very best going forward as she takes her talents to Penn State!
