Julia Newell & Mary Diestel Lead the Girls To Double Wins to Stay Undefeated at 3-0; Boys Split Versus Bellingham and Millis.

Julia Newell and Mary Diestel totaled 48 varsity points between the two of them in their double wins over Millis & Bellingham. The girls won 81-55 versus Millis and 103-29 versus Bellingham. Freshman Paul Wisnaskas racked up an almost perfect 28 points in his three events (400 hurdles, 110 hurdles & high jump)!

Mary Diestel Wins the High Jump with a Leap of 4' 10. 
The boys split the meets beating Millis 118-18 while losing to a tough Bellingham squad 58-79. 

For the girls, there were many first places! Mary Diestel won the 400 hurdles (and broke 70) and the High Jump (with a season best leap of 5' 10"), while placing second in the 100 hurdles. Julia Newell won the 100 and the triple jump, while placing second in the 200 meters. Julia Palin was another double winner as she took both the 400 & 800 meter races. Hannah Delea scored in three events, winning the 100 hurdles and placing in the 400 hurdles and long jump. Megan Nichols took both the shotput and discus wins, while Kirsten Loring won the 200.

On the boys side winners included freshman Paul Wisnaskas in the 110 Hurdles, 400 Hurdles, & High Jump, Ian Pereira the 100 & 200 (2nd in the long jump), Patrick Bingel in the Mile (2nd high jump), Peter Rivard in both the 400 & shotput (2nd in the 200), Austin Carroll in the 800 (2nd in the 400 Hurdles), DJ Nihill in the 2 Mile, Justin Charles in the Shotput, and Corey Stalters in the Javelin & Triple Jump (2nd in the 110 Hurdles).

Other point-getters on the day for the girls were the winning relay team members of Ashley Schepis, Alexa Sousa-Shumosic, Eve Rodriguez, and Heather Kurland along with these others: Michaela Whiteside, Hannah Kubinski, Kylie Dion, Sarah LaFrancois, Sydney Shea, Abbey Moon, Caroline Daly, Kylie Murphy, & Hope LeClaire! 

Other point-getters on the day for the boys were the winning relay team members of Chris Liebherr, Nick Lebel, Sam McGrath, Nick Chew, Ethan Tetrault, Aiden Lerner, and Kevin Mahoney along with these others: Thomas Bingel, Aiden Morris, Jack Buchan, James Wilson, Matt Berard, & Matt Pepin. 

Norton will next compete again over the April vacation with a small contingency of athletes at the Mansfield Speed Classic. Following that they are back in TVL action the Tuesday after break (4/24) against a very tough HOPKINTON HILLER squad away at 3:30.
