A big congrats to the Norton boys track team who concluded their regular season with a win over the Holliston Panthers 104-32! The boys end the season 8-1 coming in second in the TVL. The boys have had an incredible run these last few years with 25 wins and 2 losses in the last 3 years.
The boys are looking forward to a great postseason as they are primed and ready. They start off with a few athletes attending the state relays this Saturday. Following that, next Wednesday the boys compete at the Tri-Valley League Championships.
Thanks to all the seniors who have made this season so very special or all of us. The seniors leaving us this year will be: Matty Butler, Captain Joe Colley (he's the man), Tom "triple" Hanlon, Captain Jack "The Pack of Snack" Keane (Snack Pack), Captain Danny Lenihan (all heart), Andrew "Has anyone seen Narto?" Nartowicz, Christos "Greestos" Nikolos, Captain Danny Rafuse (Tall, Goofy, & Hilarious), Captain Mason Rouillard (so much respect for you), and Nick "PR" Skotny.
As for today, there were 4 double winners on the day. Per usual, Kevin O'Leary won the 100 and javelin. Mike Tierney ran 2 gutsy races winning the 400 hurdles at the line on the lean and came back and won the 400. Mason Rouillard won a close one in the 800 and was a member of the winning 4x400 relay team. Freshman Justin Ireland won the 200 and was a member of the winning 4x100 team.
Zach Sicard made states in the 110 hurdles his first time out just prepping for the Decathlon. Cam Stalters got a PR in the 110 hurdles with a 16.8, as did Max Marcotte in the mile (4:45.8), Steve Hudson in the discus (117'0"), Jack Keane in the shotput (47'9"), and Andrew Nartowicz in the triple (39'6').

Norton's postseason starts with the MSTCA State Coaches Meet this Saturday at 9:00 at the New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School.
