THE FIGHT AGAINST CANCER; RUNNING WITH LANCE

- I got confirmation recently that I will be running for Team Livestrong and with Lance Armstrong in the Boston Marathon. This is a very exciting opportunity to raise awareness and make change!
- We have just completed the ONE BOOK - ONE SCHOOL program reading Lance Armstrong's It's Not About the Bike.
- We did a "Wear Yellow" day in honor of Lance deciding yellow was going to be the color to promote cancer awareness (in respect to the Maillot Jaune yellow jersey worn by the leader of the Tour de France).
- The school and I will be raising funds for cancer and the Livestrong Foundation in various ways. An outside donation can be made via the grassroots website (coming soon) or to myself (Kent Taylor), Mrs. Young, or Mr. Leddy (both at the high school). Donation forms can be found at the front office or by any of us! Thanks so much for your help in the fight against cancer and raising awareness!

I am very excited about the marathon. I will be watching from mile 16.5 in Newton. I'll have plenty of water bottles if you need one.
