Lady Lancers Improve Record to 3-3 After Win Over Medway

Medway- The lady lancers successfully took down the mustangs of Medway this afternoon, the final score was 79-51. With the weather holding off, for the most part, Norton was able to clear yet another hurdle of the season. Their record n0w rests at 3-3 with Ashland, Medfield, and Millis on the horizon.

There were a few pleasant surprises today. Shannon O'Rourke,  a solid javelin and shot put thrower, tried discus for the first time ever today. She placed second in the event and qualified for the freshman/sophomore invitational. Kassidy Campbell jumped an amazing 15'4.5" in the long jump qualifying for states in the event. Amy Pereira threw 31'2" in the shot put, a personal best and soaring past the state qualifying requirement of 29'. The 4x100m team reminds undefeated as well. Norton took 10 first place finishes out of 16 events.

Emma Ethier: 1st 400m hurdles, 1st 100m hurdles, 2nd triple jump
Kassidy Campbell: 1st long jump, 2nd 400m hurdles, 2nd 100m hurdles
Erin Kennedy: 1st triple jump, 2nd high jump, 3rd 100m
Amy Pereira: 1st shot put, 1st 100m
Bekah Sargent: 1st high jump, 1st 200m
Shannon O'Rourke: 2nd discus, 2nd shot put
Kayla Sicard: 3rd 400m, 3rd long jump
Stacie Linfield: 2nd 1 mile
Brittany Alioto: 3rd 1 mile
Alison Dufault: 3rd 200m
Jessica Greco: 1st 2 mile
Ashley Pelletier: 2nd javelin
