Lancers Boys Prove Too Much for Medway Mustangs; Boys Move to 6-0 with a 109-21 Win!

Congrats to the Norton boys track team who beat the Medway Mustangs today 109-21.  The Lancer boys stay undefeated with their record moving to 6-0.

Ben Donovan had the perfect day winning three events: triple jump, long jump, & the 110 High Hurdles.

Jon Plummer was a double winnner and placed in three events.  He won both the 100 and 200 and came in second in the high jump.

First place winners on the day were Ryan Lapadula in the 400 hurdles, Billy Sullivan in the 1 Mile, Danny Lenihan in the 400, Mason Rouillard in the 800 meters, Jack Keane in the shotput, Joe Colley in the javelin, & Steve Burrill in the high jump.

Second place winners on the day were Ramzi Bechara in both hurdles 110 and 400.  Brian Gannon also had a pair of seconds places in the 100 & 200 and qualified for the state championships in the 200.  Tyler Anderson placed second in the 400 and qualified for states.  Max Marcotte was second in the 800, while Steve Hudson did the same in the shotput, as did Josh Kelleher in the long jump.  Other 2nd place finishers on the day included Kevin O'Leary in the javelin, Paul Schleicher in the discus, and Danny Rafuse in the triple jump.

Third place finishers on the day was Kevin O'Leary in the 100 meters, Mike Tierney in the 1 Mile, Ryan Lapadula in the 110 high hurdles, Brian Acker in the 800, Scott Coleman in 200, Danny Rafuse in the long jump, Joey Hallgren in the javelin, and Josh Kelleher with his state qualifying jump in the triple jump.  

Norton will next compete this Saturday in the Division 4 State Championship Relays at 9:30 at Bishop Fenwick in Peabody.
