90 schools, 1 champion: NORTON. It was a roller coaster ride as both teams had the team championship come down to the final event with both teams trailing by 1 point: for girls it was the high jump, for the boys, the long jump. The boys took the championship placing 2nd overall in the high jump and winning by 7 points to runner-up Wakefield. It was Norton's first indoor track relay championship on both sides, and between the Norton girls and boys teams, they had 9 top-three finishes, scoring points in 13 of the 20 events (and it would have been 10 except for the DQ in the boys 4x200).
