NORTON GIRLS DEFEAT HOPKINTON FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER....ENDING HOPKINTONS 9 YEAR - 144 MEET WINNING STREAK!!!

In an amazing roller coaster ride of a meet, the girls take down powerhouse Hopkinton 49-37!! The Hopkinton Hillers had not lost a TVL meet in Winter or Spring and if anyone was going to end that streak it was going to be our amazingly talented lady lancers! The first few events went exactly as expected. We then lost a point in the 600 but gained it right back in an unexpected first and second place finish in the 300M. The biggest swing of the day came from our high jump team declaring they had swept the field! And in true shot put style they sealed the deal with first and second place throws!

I could not be more proud of the great performances by everyone. Every single person showed up for this meet and it truly paid off.

Kassidy Campbell took first in the hurdles, third in the 600M and was a part of the high jump team taking first place. Brooke-Lynn Williams took first in the dash and gave it everything she had and more to come in first in the 300M. Katie Bradley followed suit coming in first in both the mile and 2 mile. Amy Pereira added points to our total placing first in shot put and 2nd in the dash. Kylie Barrows came in second in shot put, Danielle Whitman second in high jump, and Bella Berardi second in the 300M. Kayla Sicard added to our lead with a third place in the high jump.

The entire team has been working so hard all season and this was one of our many goals to accomplish. Beating Hopkinton is just a start to more amazing meets that lie ahead. Keep up the great work ladies. I can't wait to see what's next!!!
