Camden Cleathero ties 17-Year-Old Record in the Hurdles and Justin Ireland Breaks School Record in the 200 in Route to 96-40 Victory at Westwood!

THE WHOLE CREW!

     In the Lancers win against Westwood 96-40 yesterday, Camden Cleathero tied a 17 year old record held by Paul Ravinski (1998) with a 15.0 in the 110 High Hurdles!  Justin Ireland also broke his teammate Abu Ceesay's school record in the 200 with a 22.4.

     Many boys did not compete in their normal events but still fared well.  Parker Cleathero won the mile, while Abu Ceesay won the 400 outright.  Adam Winiarz placed second in both the 100 and 200 posting some top TVL times. Chris Wrenn posted the 3rd fastest time in the TVL behind teammates Mike Tierney and Abu Ceesay.

     Eight athletes bettered their state qualifying marks or actually qualified for states in those events:
Justin Ireland - Long Jump - 19'10", 200 Meters - 22.4
Abu Ceesay - 400 Meters - 51.3
Chris Wrenn - 400 Meters - 52.4
Alex Carignan - 110 Hurdles - 16.6
Mike Tierney - 800 Meters - 2:08.1
Adam Winiarz - 200 Meters - 22.8

    Out if the 21 athletes who scored varsity points, the Lancer boys were lead in varsity points by Cam Stalters with 13 who won the javelin, the discus, and placed second in the 110 Hurdles.  Close behind him was Justin Ireland, who won the long jump, the 200, and the 4x100. Camden Cleathero won the 110 Hurdles and placed second in both the high jump and the triple jump. Abu Ceesay won the 400 meters, the 100 meters, and was third in the long jump. Other winners on the day were Mike Tierney (800 & 4x400) and Parker Cleathero (1 Mile, 4x400), Joey Annand (2 Mile), and Colin O'Leary (400 Hurdles).
