Norton Boys Start Season Strong With Double Wins Over Both Hopkinton and Bellingham!

Congrats to the Norton boys (2-0) who opened the season strong inside the Hopkinton gymnasium on this beautiful December day beating both the Hopkinton Hillers (53-33) and the Bellingham Blackhawks (68-18).

Leading the charge for the Lancers were Senior Captains Justin Ireland, Camden Cleathero, and Chris Wrenn.  Justin  Ireland took home 4 first places and a second winning the 45 dash, the 300, and the shotput.  Justin also tied his own school record in the 45 dash from two years ago with a league leading time.

Camden Cleathero not only grabbed 4 first places in the 45 hurdles high jump, he also broke the school record in the 45 hurdles with a league leading time (previously help by Ben Donovan (2011-2012) and Cam Stalters (2013-2014),

Chris Wrenn doubled in style today with a league leading 600 race of 1:28.9 and came back soon after in the 1000 to take that down convincingly as well to grab 4 first places.

Distance expert Joey Annand was called to run the mile and 2 mile on the day but only ended up having to run the mile as the meet was in hand at the start of the 2 mile.  Running solo, Joey grabbed 2 first places with a quick time on that short track of 4:53.1.

Jordan Lach worked the 24 laps in the 2 mile to grab a 1st and a 2nd with freshman Austin Carroll right by his side picking up 4 points in his first indoor meet.

The Norton boys 4x400 team of Nick Reynolds, Parker Cleathero, Sean Cappellini, & Eddie Mercardo were able to win the race by a close margin over both Hiller and Blackhawk teams.
