The lancer girls had an amazing day at the division 4 state relays on Friday night. 6 out of the 7 teams that competed placed in the top 6 receiving medals while all 7 placed in the top 10! Three school records were broken and many personal bests were achieved!
The shuttle dash team of Brooke-Lynn Williams, Cece Browne, Emily Carlson and Julia Newell; and the shuttle hurdle team of Emily Carlson, Julia Newell, Mary Diestel and Alyssa Ekstrom both placed 6th.
The long jump relay team of Bella Berardi, Kambrynn Bowman and Brooke-Lynn Williams placed 3rd.
The 4x800m team of Katie Bradley, Julia Palin, Kambrynn Bowman and Shelly Belcher came in 2nd with a time of 10:06.97, a new school record!
The 4x400m team of Katie Bradley, Kambrynn Bowman, Julia Palin and Bella Berardi also came in 2nd with a time of 4:13.64, breaking their own school record from earlier in the season!
The 4x200m team of Bella Berardi, Brooke-Lynn Williams, Cece Browne and Kirsten Loring took home first place medals while also setting a school record running 1:49.36!!
Everyone did their best and pulled together as a team. This group of girls continues to amaze everyone that is witness to their meets! Great job girls!!
