Boys (0-2)
Missing several athletes to illness, the Lancers kept the meet in sight from the first gun. Junior Paul Wisnaskas (8.19) returned back to form in winning the 55m hurdles and improving his state-qualifying mark while teammate James Partridge (9.57) joined the ride on another season's best to claim third place. The next points would come in the mile with another sandwich led by Sean Wynne (4:57.3) in a season's best to grab the W while Thomas Anderson (5:53.2) ran the race of his life to a new personal best and a third place finish. Points continued to fall in from the mid-distance as Derek Bamford (1:39.9) and Casey Dion (1:56.3) finished 1-3 in the 600m run to force Bellingham to leave their foot on the gas if they wanted to escape Wheaton with a win.
Unfortunately blanked in the shot put and the 55m dash, points had to be found on the oval. Senior captain Ethan Tetrault (2:58.2) made sure of it in grabbing a convincing win in the 1,000m. In the 300m, Danny Tran (41.30) followed suit just missing first place by the lean.

Girls (2-0)
A complete different story for the Lady Lancers as points were scored in every event as Norton cruised to their second 2-0 start in as many years. Leading off with a near sweep of both short sprint events were led by season best times by Heather Kurland (9.57) and Ali Murphy (7.84) in the 55m hurdles and 55m dash respectively. Kurland was followed closely by teammates Shaylee Owens (10.35) and Maddie Dolack (10.39) for second and third while senior captain Eve Rodriguez (7.89) followed Murphy for second in the short dash. Rodriguez (4'-4") would then turn to the infield to hit a season's best in the high jump while claiming third place in the process.
The sweeping did continue in the next three events, however. Starting in the mile, Destiny McGrath (6:07.8) ran an indoor best to pace the pack of Lancers to the 1-2-3 finish, which were claimed by Shea Podbelski (6:09.1) and Lauren Anderson (6:11.3). Senior Kylie Dion (1:54.0) continued her winning ways in the 600m and led newcomers Kiera Dooley (2:08.7) and Ava Scagnoli (2:17.9) to three and one varsity points respectively on the evening. The third distance sweep came in the 1,000m as Isabella Pietrasiewicz (3:06.7) ran a strong season opening 1,000m to grab a convincing win and convincing state-qualifying time. Not too far behind her, and near a personal best, was Megan Cross (3:21.5) for second and senior captain Ashley Schepis (3:33.7) for third.

The Lancers wrapped up the meet similarly with how they started the meet. With no Bellingham runners in the two mile, Norton secured a two girl sweep with Skye Goba (13:14.3) opening up her TVL action with a win as Ellison Leo (14:12.4) earner her first varsity points in second place. Seeking to finish the meet out with a bang, the 4x400m team of Murphy, Bingel, Dion and Pietrasiewicz kept it close with Dover-Sherborn through two legs but pulled away in the last two to win the race outright in a TVL-leading 4:23.4, just short of a state-qualifying mark.
